FINALLY I get to see one of the spreads that I was on set for this summer in NYC. This spread was shot for Numero by Greg Kadel, one of the photographers that I interned for. I was lucky enough to be on set for this shoot and it was an incredible experience especially since he was shooting for such a prestigious magazine and one of the most famous supermodels in the world. The movie Black Swan, directed by Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream), is coming out in December and stars Natalie Portman and Vincent Cassell. I've lost count how many times I have watched the trailer (watch it here) and I am absolutely in love with their advertising. It is hard for me to think of another editorial that emphasizes shape, form, lines in such a beautifully classic and original way. Sure, most fashion photography is about highlighting these aspects in relationship to the clothes and the body, however what makes this editorial so unique are the ways in which it is explored.
