I'm loving this new editorial, featuring model Michelle Buswell photographed by Koray Birand, photographed for the November 2012 issue of Harper's Bazaar Turkey. The newsboy cap, the large crisp white dress shirt, socks and boots, and pleated pants are an homage to the styling of the fashion industry in the early 90's while still integrating new and contemporary outfits. Birard's soft and slightly cinematic images remind us of the photography of Peter Lindbergh for Vogue in the early era of the "Supermodel". I'm a sucker for any kind of large canvas as a background and I love how seemlessly the "studio" and location shots integrate into one very cohesive editorial that references a certain older aesthetic yet remains contemporary.
